1.4 We Do Not Sell Personal Information

SociaLock does not sell users' personal information.

Information may be processed by infrastructure or service providers where technically necessary to provide, secure, maintain, or operate the platform, or where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.

1.5 User Responsibility

Users are responsible for the information they voluntarily publish or send to others. SociaLock cannot guarantee the privacy of information that a user intentionally publishes in a public area.

2. Privacy & Content Visibility

Different parts of SociaLock have different visibility levels. Users should understand the difference between private account information, public content, follower-only content, direct messages, and public/global communications.

2.1 Gmail / Email Privacy

Your Gmail/email remains private. The email address associated with your SociaLock account is account information and is not intended to be publicly displayed as part of your normal public profile.

2.2 Country Privacy

Your selected country remains private. The country selected during registration or profile management is not intended to be publicly displayed merely because it is stored on your account.

2.3 Public Information

Information that a user intentionally places in a public profile, public post, public comment, public tool listing, or Global Message should be considered public.

Users should never place their Gmail address, phone number, password, OTP, banking information, identity documents, home address, or other sensitive information into a public area.

3. Messaging & Communication Privacy

3.1 Direct Messages

Direct Messages are private communications. Direct Messages are intended for communication between the participating users and are not public posts.

SociaLock does not routinely read or manually inspect private Direct Messages for ordinary platform operations.

However, messages are processed by the systems required to provide the messaging service. Information may also be processed when necessary for security, abuse prevention, technical operation, investigation of serious violations, or compliance with applicable law or valid legal process.

3.2 Global Messages

GLOBAL MESSAGES ARE ALWAYS PUBLIC. Anything posted in the Global Message area should be considered public communication.

Global Messages may be viewed by users who have access to the Global Message space.

Do not post passwords, Gmail addresses, OTP codes, banking information, private documents, personal addresses, or other sensitive information in Global Messages.

3.3 Rooms, Groups and Channels

SociaLock may provide room, group, channel, broadcast, or similar communication features.

The visibility of messages in these spaces depends on the particular room, group, channel, membership, and configuration.

Users should assume that messages sent to a group or room can be viewed by its authorized members.

3.4 Message Caching

Some messaging functionality may temporarily cache conversation information on a user's device to support performance and offline functionality.

Users should protect their devices and should not allow unauthorized people to access a device where SociaLock conversation data may be cached.

3.5 Blocking

Users may have blocking or restriction functionality. Blocking can affect whether messages from another user are displayed or received.

4. Post Privacy & Content Visibility

4.1 Public Posts

A post that is available publicly may be viewed by other SociaLock users and may appear in relevant feeds or public areas of the platform.

4.2 Followers-Only Privacy

Followers-only accounts: Where the account privacy setting is configured to restrict posts to followers, the platform is designed to limit those posts to the account owner and users who follow that account, subject to the applicable platform implementation and safety requirements.

4.3 Public Content Can Be Copied

Once a user intentionally publishes content publicly, other users may be able to copy, screenshot, quote, record, or redistribute that content.

SociaLock cannot guarantee that copies made by other people outside the platform will be deleted when the original content is deleted.

4.4 Comments and Reactions

Comments, replies, likes, reactions, and similar interactions may be visible to users who can access the relevant post or conversation.

4.5 User Responsibility

Users are responsible for selecting an appropriate privacy setting before publishing content.

Privacy Reminder: A privacy setting is not a guarantee against screenshots, copying, recording, or redistribution by people who are legitimately able to view the content.

5. Advertising & Country-Based Ad Filtering

5.1 Why SociaLock Collects Country Information

Primary purpose of country information: SociaLock may use the country selected by a user to help determine which advertisements or promotional content may be relevant to that user.

Country information is not collected for the purpose of publicly displaying the user's country to other users.

5.2 Country Remains Private

The selected country is treated as private account information and is not intended to be publicly displayed merely because it is used for advertisement filtering.

5.3 Country-Specific and Global Ads

SociaLock may provide a combination of advertisements targeted to a selected country and advertisements intended for a global audience.

For example, a user may receive advertisements relevant to their selected country together with advertisements marked for a global audience.

5.4 Advertisers

The fact that an advertisement is selected for a country does not mean that the advertiser is given the user's Gmail address or that the user's country is publicly displayed to the advertiser as the user's profile information.

5.5 Advertising Limitations

Advertisement availability, targeting, frequency, and presentation may change depending on available inventory, platform configuration, technical requirements, and applicable policies.

5.6 Tools and Advertisements

SociaLock may provide user-submitted or platform-provided tools and may display advertisements within or around tool-related areas.

External tools or websites opened through links may have their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.

6. Account & Profile Management

6.1 Username

Users may be able to change their username through available account or profile settings, subject to availability and platform rules.

6.2 Gmail / Email

Where the feature is available, users may change their registered email address through the appropriate account process. Verification may be required.

6.3 Password

Users are responsible for maintaining a secure password and should change it immediately if they believe their account has been compromised.

6.4 Country

Where available, users may update their selected country through profile or account settings.

The country setting is primarily used for advertisement filtering and remains private.

6.5 Real Gmail / Valid Email Requirement

Users should use their own real and accessible Gmail/email address. If a user intentionally registers with a fake, temporary, inaccessible, or otherwise unusable email address and later loses access to the account, SociaLock may be unable to recover the account.

6.6 Account Security

  • Never share your password.
  • Never share OTP or verification codes.
  • Do not share recovery information with strangers.
  • Do not use the same password everywhere.
